5 Must Have Mobile Business Apps For Security Professionals

What are your 5 must have Mobile Business Apps? I was recently challenged by a colleague to go through all the apps on my iPhone 7 Plus and pick only 5 apps that I would consider must-haves. I knew this was not going to be an easy challenge since over the years I have downloaded hundreds of apps, some good, some bad, and some downright ugly.

As a security consultant, I am always looking for ways to operate more efficiently. I am not a paper and pencil type of guy; I rely on technology to keep me focused, organized, and entertained. As part of the challenge, Apple’s suite of IOS apps did not count against my 5 must have Mobile Business Apps.

Since Apple allows me to manage multiple email accounts, schedules, and contact lists through native IOS apps a big part of my challenge was taken care of without me having to use any of my must-have Mobile Business Apps. I am not a huge fan of Safari and Reminders they are useful apps, but I found apps that allow me to work more efficiently.

Google Chrome – The best thing about Google is it is always Google, regardless of the platform, setup my bookmarks in one place and they follow me on whatever device I am using

Wunderlist – Is an App Store Essential and my go to To-Do List & Task app, its simple to use, intuitive, collaborative, and works across all my devices

Finding my last 3 Mobile Business Apps was a little tougher, it meant me having to give up some apps I use on a regular basis, but I could give up if I had too.

Microsoft Word – It’s Essential, not just because the App Store says so, but because it is, it’s a part of my love-hate relationship with Microsoft

Day One Journal – An App Store Editor’s Choice is my go to Mobile Business Apps go for keeping track of meeting notes; it allows me to have multiple journals, set reminders, and journal entry management features

Dropbox – Is another App Store Essential, and I use it for cloud file storage, backup, file sharing, and to access my files across multiple devices
